Vallbona is the site chosen by the Barcelona city Hall to participate in the EUROPEAN 15 project. It belongs to Nou Barris district and, among its particularities, it stands out for its location – a suburb separated from the rest of the city – and the Rec Comtal, the irrigation canal built during the 10thC to bring water to Barcelona from the springs close to the Besós river.
